GUY NOLAND - Series Creator / Executive Producer

Guy Noland is an entertainment producer with over 20 years of experience in filmmaking and has helmed award-winning productions throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Pacific Islands. He conceptualized, implemented, and helmed the start-up of a Webby Award winning media initiative for one of the largest charities in the world.  Prior to that, Guy served as an executive with several independent production companies, as well as functioning as the Entertainment Operations and Technical Manager for Universal Studios, Hollywood. He currently holds a BA, MA, and MFA in Cinema & TV Arts and serves as an adjunct film professor for various institutions as time permits.

JILL SCOGGINS NOLAND - Executive Producer

Jill Scoggins Noland is a seasoned executive, having served two tours of duty within the Los Angeles Mayor's Office. First with the Villaraigosa Administration overseeing performance management initiatives, and continuing with Mayor Eric Garcetti where she most recently served as Executive Officer/Director of Operations for the Deputy Mayor of Economic Development. In that role, she worked closely with the Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women and Mount St. Mary's University to produce a first of its kind report on the status of women and girls within the City of Los Angeles. She was also instrumental in developing Mayor Garcetti's platform on gender equity as outlined under Executive Directive No. 11, which included establishing the Mayor's city-wide Gender Equity Coalition.  She continues to serve as a founding member.

LUIS UGAZ - Producer

Luis Ugaz studied engineering as an undergraduate, earned an MBA from the University of Virginia, and had a successful career as a computer network engineer and management consultant before turning to film.  He fell in love with film production while helping to produce the PBS documentary The World War II Memorial: A Testament to Freedom for Emmy Award-winning director Robert Uth. Since then, he has produced everything from corporate videos to music videos, short films to independent features. Somewhere along the way he discovered a passion for screenwriting and has sold feature projects to Disney, Hallmark, and Wind Dancer Entertainment. Christmas in Conway, a film he co-wrote, was produced by Hallmark Hall of Fame and premiered on ABC TV.

JOE NOLAND - Creative Adviser

 

Joe Noland is a retired minister, having served at the highest levels both nationally and internationally for one of the largest charities in the world, he led the relief effort at Ground Zero, following the 9/11 disaster in NYC. He produced the film, Unsung, documenting that effort (View Here). His ministry represents a lifetime of abuse intervention and prevention, especially focusing on children in those early formative years, subsequently authoring a book highlighting this passion, HOPE: A Flight Manual for Prospective Angels. Creativity is his drug of choice, a soon to be released autobiography capturing the depth and breadth of this imaginative spirit: The ERAS of His Way: An Odyssey of Grit and Grace. He brings this same creative passion and spirit to V.I.R.A.L.
